Pub of the Year 2020

North Cotswold Branch of the Campaign for Real Ale

The Eight Bells at Chipping Campden has been voted the North Cotswold Campaign for Real Ale Pub of the Year for 2020.This is the first time the Eight Bells has won this award, having been a runner up in 2018. Congratulations to Landlord Neil Hargreaves and his team for this achievement form the Branch. Neil was keen to thank his suppliers.

He said “Firstly can I say how delighted I am that we have won this prestigious award, it is as much a testimony to our suppliers as much as it is to us – starting with good quality beers is as important as how they are kept, for that reason I have passed on the good news to the breweries.”

With Beers from Hook Norton, North Cotswold, Purity and Wye Valley along with Cider from Pearsons and Old Rosie the range and quality of the offering was a key factor in the Eight Bells winning what was a very close competition with half a point separating the winner from the runner–up, the Mousetrap Inn, Bourton On The Water.
